Duskbloods Login and Server Errors: What Is Confirmed
The first US session had server-side connection failures. FromSoftware closed that session and apologized. No public checklist has been shown to guarantee a fix. Nintendo's published help article covers an application-link error, not the in-game Failed to log in message.

This page separates what is confirmed from what people guessed during the first test weekend. It is not a promise that any home-network tweak will restore a downed game server.
Current state
The published US sessions ran August 21 to 23, 2026. If you still have the test build installed, leftover login errors do not mean a hidden extra session is running.
Confirmed
- FromSoftware closed the first session early because of game-server issues and said later schedules would be announced.
- Testers reported being stuck on the title screen while trying to connect.
- The official test page warned that Wi-Fi can be unstable depending on your physical setup and suggested trying a wired connection, pointing to Nintendo’s Switch 2 internet FAQ.
- The same page said bugs may occur because the build is still in development.
A different official error
Nintendo Support article 71792 covers a different message: “We were unable to obtain information necessary for your application,” seen while applying for the test. The published fix is to check the Country/region setting when linking your Nintendo Account, then agree to finish linking. On a desktop browser you may need to select See details or Edit to show that option. That article does not claim to repair in-game login failures during a live session.
What you can do
- For leftover test-client issues, use the Network Test operations contact listed in the official gameplay guide, not a fan site.
- If your connection is generally unstable on Switch 2, start with Nintendo’s internet connection FAQ.
- Keep expectations honest. This archive does not see live server health.
What not to do
- Do not treat a video workaround as confirmed.
- Do not assume sitting nearer the router repairs a closed session. Eurogamer’s update said that advice did not appear to help.
- Do not send account passwords to unofficial pages.
Still unknown
The exact error-code list from the client, whether affected players will be invited again, and whether the later weekend sessions fully recovered. There is no official after-action note yet, so this page will not invent a green light.
